Corporate Teambuilding
Climbing is a natural teambuilding activity. It is goal-oriented and requires cooperation, trust, and good communication skills. Professional facilitators provide your organization with activities that will enhance and change the way individuals view themselves, their co-workers and the team as a whole. Briefing and debriefing exercises help reinforce what is learned.
We can customize any program, providing a highly-structured, motivational agenda or a relaxed curriculum that highlights the thrill of climbing.
Indoor climbing involves problem solving and anaerobic exercise. Climbing lends itself naturally to team-building since partners must depend upon one another's cooperation and trust. It builds self-esteem and confidence, allowing participants to feel a sense of accomplishment by reaching a goal - usually the top of a wall.
Routes (the path followed to get to the top) are set by professional course-setters who design for all abilities. Regardless of an individuals fitness level, participants will find routes they can climb.
Our instructors are experienced and patient. They have a passion for climbing and a natural ability to impart their knowledge. Facilitators have varied backgrounds-some are climbers who have made vertical endeavors the focus of their lives, while others are professionals in non-sport related fields who climb when their schedule allows. We will match your group with a facilitator who can assess your needs and provide you with the perfect team-building program.
How It Works
A facilitator arranges a telephone conference with the team leader to assess needs, goals and issues before your arrival.
After an orientation and several initiative exercises, students are taught how to put on a climbing harness, how to tie a figure-eight knot and how to belay (a method of securing the rope while your partner climbs).
This is followed by more initiative exercises and a debriefing session. Initiative exercises include a selection of the following: blind-folded climbing, speed climbing, team tag, follow-the-leader bouldering, challenge climbing, and team teaching. The purpose of the initiative exercises is to enhance and challenge the way individuals view themselves, their co-workers and the team as a whole.
Climbing shoes, harness and belay device are provided. The program will be customized to suit your needs.
All gyms have locker rooms, showers, steam or sauna (or both), towel service, retail pro shops and plenty of free parking.

Why Climbing?
Why take your co-workers climbing? Because it is a fun, challenging, teambuilding experience!
Climbing is a healthy, exciting alternative to a corporate cocktail party or golf game. It is a chance to discover how your staff works together and how individuals deal with physical challenges that require mental solutions.
Climbing demands that participants depend upon one another. It puts men and women on equal footing. The lessons learned during climbing activities can be used as a metaphor for problem solving in the workplace.
A climbing teambuilding activity or party can be customized to fit your needs. Our facilities can host an event for groups as small as three or as large as 300.
Combine your climbing experience with a small, intimate dinner afterward, a catered lunch or a keg and pizza party, and you will create an experience your co-workers, employees, vendors and accounts will rave about for years to come!
