Head Route Setter

Craig has been the director of Course-setting for Touchstone since 1996. He has been climbing for over 25 years, redpoint 5.14, bouldering V7 and climbing A5 VI El Cap routes. When not course-setting, Craig can be found climbing and skiing in the Sierra with his family.

AndresAndres - ACME
Andres comes from Guadalajara, Mexico and has been climbing for 12 years. He has been a member of the Touchstone coursesetting crew for over 3 years, and he has been the foreman of Mission Cliffs coursesetting since September of 2002. He boulders V10, climbs 5.14 sport and 5.13 trad. In his spare time he is a Business major at SFSU
JamesJames - JH
James just relocated to San Francisco from Baltimore, where he completed is undergrad work in physics. His likes include Star Trek, James Brown, long sketchy gastons and tacos. Mainly a boulderer, he climbs V6/V7. But if you are lucky you might see him hauling a rope up a 5.12.
BrianBrian - DUDE
Brian is a bay area local who has been climbing for 14 years. He has been coursesetting with Touchstone for 2 years. He spends all his time BASE jumping and climbing long routes-up to 5.13 trad.
FernandoFernando - FM
Fernando comes from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Fernando has been climbing for 10 years. He is a full-time climber who loves to travel and climb new routes. His hard ascents include V10, 5.13+ sport and 5.13 trad.
FrankieFrankie - FO
Frankie was born in London, England & lived there till he was 5 when he moved to the Bay Area. Frankie just finished his degree in Exercise Scince and Sports Nutrition from SFSU. On rock, Frankie has climbed over 20 5.13 routes and he has bouldered over 40 double digit problems.
JimJim - JT
Jim attends Law School when he's not coursesetting, he is originally from New Hampshire. He climbs 5.12+ and predominately trad climbs his schedule is super hectic; so he unwinds by tirelessly working on his "My Little Pony Collection"; be sure to ask him about it.
BrianBrian - BH
Brian was a resident of Charlotte, NC; for 19 years, until he visited the Bay Area with two good friends in July. He has been climbing for 7 years, mostly in the Appalachians at "The Boone" and" Rumbling Bald" areas, doing extensive bouldering up to V10. Sport climbing at the "New" up to 5.13B, and trad climbing throughout NC.
BenBen - BP
Ben is a local Bay Area resident who has been climbing for 10 years, he mostly boulders up to V12; when he's in shape he can walk 5.13-. He's easily recognizable by the dreads and the extensive facial piercing. He like cake and pie and long walks on the beach (OK whatever, dude).
ScotScot - SJ
Scot has an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute, he has performed in 13 countries as a sound artist with his Sculptural Pyromaniacal Instruments, and with his band F-Space. He has been obsessed with climbing for the past 8 years and is the coach of the Zero Gravity climbing team, which includes some of the worlds best young climbers. He is also the Regional Coordinator for USA Climbing, Northern CA. Region.
KyleKyle - KY
Kyle is from Oregon, where he spent lots of time at Smith Rock. He climbs 5.13 and V10. While in Oregon he graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Philosophy. He also ran Track and Cross Country where he recorded a best mile time of 3:58. He relocated to the Bay Area for a new experience.
ScottScott - SG
Scott studied International Business and Japanese at the University of Nevada, Reno. He swam competitively for eleven years, and played Water Polo for eight years. He also coached Water Polo at a local high school, before moving to the Bay Area. Now a resident of Berkeley he continues to climb and train for Triathlons in his spare time.
