altMISSION CLIFFS MANAGER

Donna Dunlap
After returning from a weekend trip from San Diego where she got fake tips put on her nails, her first adventure to Mission Cliffs with her friend left her scratching at the walls. She had such a great time that she went home and tore off the tips and begged her friend to take her climbing again -The rest is history ....SHE WAS HOOKED! Donna has been with the gym for 6 years and has really enjoyed working with the community and assisting the diverse clients at Mission Cliffs.

MCfrank
FRANK
Started climbing when hip belays was the standard technique in belaying. Frank was one of the original members of the gym, and has long been a staple behind the front desk.

MICHAEL

The lucky man in the middle is Michael. A butcher, a baker, a charming heart-breaker; this guy has a finance degree from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Michael is now ready for the corporate world... just as soon as the economy cooperates. You can find him zipping around the city on his motorcycle, enjoying the finer sides of German Techno, or at one of his favorite local pubs when he's not at the gym.

JESSIE
Jessie got into climbing for the dudes, but she soon discovered that climbing is awesome, and climber dudes are lame. Being prone to ankle injuries, she much prefers roping up to setting out a crash pad.  Her favorite place to climb is The Red River Gorge in Kentucky, but you can find her crushing the moderates in Mission Cliffs on rainy days. And sunny days. And foggy days. Really she's in there just about every day. When she's not, though, she enjoys baking sourdough bread, brewing her own beer, drinking coffee, running half-marathons, and listening to RadioLab.

Remi

Remi is an SF native that has spent about half her life on the east coast and around the world. She has taken solo backpacking trips to 12 countries and counting, and while she enjoys climbing and international travel, she spends most of her time counting the minutes until the Arrested Development movie comes out. Remi recently moved to the Mission and considers herself somewhat of a burrito connoisseur, although she'll eat pretty much anything with cheese in it. She is also pursuing a second BA in industrial design and plans to become a bajillionaire designing pretty things for rich people.

 Jaime

Jaime is originally from Peru. Born in a place surrounded by beautiful mountains in the Cordillera Blanca range. Now Jaime is a fully certified UIAGM  mountain Guide in Alpine climbing, rock climbing and ski mountaineering through the Peruvian Mountain Guides Association as well as a IFMGA/UIAGM internationally certified guide in all disciplines.  Jaime is a Board Member for the American Mountain Guides Associations (AMGA). When Jaime is not working at the gym, he's traveling, exploring climbing areas and opening new climbing routes.  He has been living in the United States for the past eight years climbing and organizing mountaineering and trekking expeditions to Peru. Jaime loves challenging boulder problems and has climbed some of the hardest bouldering problems in Peru like The Filo del Inka V13.

Angelica

Angelica also known as Geli with a 'G', a Mission native, started at Mission Cliffs while attending high school and has moved up to the front desk.  She likes rock climbing but LOVES salsa dancing! She likes to indulge in both climbing and salsa dancing as a way to decompress from stress. Geli has also participated in Girl Ventures and Outward Bound courses.  She's just an all around outdoor fiend.

Shawn

Shawn has no idea how long he has actually been working for Mission Cliffs, but it’s not as long as he has been climbing at Mission Cliffs. He’s not actually from Hawaii, but Shawn drinks coconut water by the liter and uses Hawaiian slang.  He is half Japanese, but that might not be the reason he approaches life as if he is living inside a video game; he says it just makes things more exciting. Easily the friendliest of our staff, he still climbs harder than you and wears smaller shoes, too.  He’ll waste no opportunity to offer you bogus medical treatment that he backs up with his expired EMT license. Shawn’s favorite parts about working at Mission Cliffs are teaching intro classes and giving lead tests.
