Classes

Dustin
Dustin White grew up outside Philadelphia and in rural western New York State, but has been living in SF since 2002 after graduating from Bucknell University in PA with a B.S. degree in civil engineering. I work for the City of San Francisco as a transportation planner with a focus on making San Francisco's streets safer and more inviting for pedestrians and cyclists. I started riding bikes competitively in 2004 by competing in triathlons (including the Escape from Alcatraz), but shifted my focus to road racing and more recently to racing mountain bikes and cyclocross (which is my current focus). He currently races for Team Sheila Moon, Category 4 road racer, an Expert MTB racer and a Category A cyclocross racer. Recent race results include winning the SoNoMas Mountain Bike Race (Sport Class) in August 2011.  Dustin teaches Monday nights at 5:45pm.

 Arthur Combs Bio Arthur
After playing competitive football and soccer into his mid-thirties, Arthur Combs took up cycling for fun, but quickly became addicted to both mountain and road disciplines. After a decade of distance riding and race training--while steadfastly refusing to take part in formal racing-- he began to teach both distance and indoor training.  This was supposed to allow for a social life outside cycling.  It sort of worked.
Arthur teaches 90-minute classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:45 pm.  90-minute classes allow for ample warm-up time, which in turn allows you to go harder and train better.  These classes are deeply music driven and involve less talking than standard gym spin classes.  Within this minimalist approach to instruction, emphasis remains on sound, safe technique, posture, and pedal stroke in order to drive the healthiest, deepest possible workout.  Arthur also teaches Indoor Boxing on Tuesday nights at 8:20pm

Anne
Anne Taupier has been an active cyclist for 20+ years and a certified indoor cycling instructor for over 12 years. Her experience as an Ironman athlete, amateur road race cyclist and long time urban cycling commuter has sculpted her wholistic approach to spin instruction.  "I believe that a good spin class can provide an outstanding whole body workout. In a well choreographed spin class, participants have the opportunity to not only test their physical strengths but also to understand and overcome their individual mental and emotional challenges when it comes to improving their own fitness." Anne teaches on Wednesdays at 5:45pm.
