Though the first things you'll probably notice when you walk into our gyms are the climbing walls, don't get the idea that Touchstone is one dimensional. In fact, we have a wide-array of fitness equipment and programs to keep your body and mind working in multiple ways. If you're looking for a place where you can really mix up your routine to include numerous different types of exercises and work all of your muscle groups, then you'll want to take a look at our diverse offerings.
From cardio equipment - bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, ergometers - to yoga classes, from free weights to kick-boxing, from indoor performance cycling to weight machines, we have your fitness needs covered. And - just in case that's not enough - you can also find Pilates, boxing, Capoeira, and abdominal/core strengthening classes at several of our facilities. Beyond great equipment and exceptional instructors, however, Touchstone offers a refreshingly different environment. You won't find a lot of posing and one-upmanship here. Just a bunch of folks committed to staying healthy and fit - and having a good time in the process. So if you're looking for an alternate approach to fitness - one that is more relaxed, friendly, sociable and accepting - we think you'll be pleasantly surprised by our atmosphere and attitude.
PERFORMANCE TESTING
One of the key components to optimizing your training time is to make sure you’re training at the right intensity. At Touchstone you can achieve your training and performance goals by finding and understanding your “training zones.” We offer scientifically based testing to determine your training zones and measure your specific response to exercise and training. Each test includes a body composition analysis (via skinfolds) and a coaching consultation to interpret your results and help guide you in applying your results to your workouts. Don't Climb?
Concerned that you'll stick out like a sore thumb if you're not a climber? Not to worry! About a quarter of all our members use our facilities just for the fitness equipment and great classes - and don't climb at all. They like the feel of the place, the friendliness, the sense of community and the fact that they don't have to wait in line to get on a treadmill or use the bench press.
