Fitness is my passion! Whether it’s working out in the gym, teaching fitness classes, riding my mountain bike or hiking, I love it all! I’ve been in the fitness industry longer than I’d like to admit to, and have been teaching fitness classes forever! I’m now challenging myself with climbing and enjoy it when I can find the time. After managing a club in Fresno for many years, I decided to move on to big and better things which brought me to Touchstone in 2008.

Hi everyone, my name is Elena, and I've been climbing at Touchstone for a couple of years now. I take classes at DVC, and am hoping to be accepted into Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley next year. Climbing is a huge part of my life, and I'm really excited to be joining the Touchstone staff!

I'm a mellow guy who has been climbing since July 7, 2002. The fact that I remember the exact date and time (7:04pm) shows what an epic day it was, because that's when I found out how much I love climbing. I'm currently a student at DVC in Pleasant Hill and living in Martinez where things are just as mellow as my personality.

My boyfriend introduced me to climbing back in April of 2008 and it instantly clicked. I fancy myself a sport climber and love getting outdoors in attempts to master some hard leads. Right now I am back in school getting my M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology and working here at Diablo Rock Gym so climbing is a luxury I can't often afford. But I hope to be out their climbing hard and strong very soon!

I started climbing in 2007, after I graduated from UC Santa Cruz. Bouldering is my passion, but I'm trying to get into leading more. If I'm not at the gym, I'm probably swimming or riding my new dirt bike, Rufio. I love all outdoor activities, and trying new sports.

If cycling didn't exist climbing would be my favorite past time. However, I love my bikes, and climbing has taken a backseat because of it. Don't worry, I haven't given climbing up completely, you can still catch me taking a whip off the prow or pressing out a mantle in the pit, but if the sun is out and I am not working behind the desk I'll see you tomorrow.
