Seneca
At the formative age of 16 Seneca discovered rock climbing and has been gainfully and happily employed by Touchstone ever since. She was born in Compton yet grew up in the beautiful Bay Area and has worked for Touchstone since 2000. She is currently working her way through college, manning the front desk at Ironworks. She likes rice pudding, rides a unicycle, has never smoked a cigarette, has two fake teeth and likes to climb.

Dave
Dave Altman is a self-described hermit who ventures out only so often to maintain the weight room at Berkeley Ironworks and to teach outdoor classes. Dave has been climbing for as long as anyone can remember and he is a fixture at Indian Rock. His mathematical prowess is almost as well known as his strength. He can bench 240 pounds while explaining how Wiles' proof of the semistable case of Taniyama-Shimura implies Fermat's Last Theorem.

Julia
The woman with the bouldering cat has been around Touchstone gyms since she was knee high or thereabouts, trailing brother, Ross up 12a’s with style and ease! Spotted hanging it out on the highway on really stormy days, Julia would rather boulder, kayak under the Golden Gate Bridge in HUGE swells and generally be in the sun, than sit around the house. Julia zips to work on her super sweet motorcycle. Did we mention that she climbs like a savage climbing machine? What a babe.

Ellis
Ellis started climbing in 2007 as cross training during his paddling and running off-season, and hasn't stopped since. He is also an aspiring photographer, so when he's not beating rock, pulling water, or pounding pavement, he is capturing light.
|
Todd
Todd has been pursuing outdoor activities since he was very young. In 2003, while attending school at UC Davis, he began climbing regularly and has been addicted ever since.
|
Peter
Peter has only been climbing since 2004, but in three short years he's found a second home at Ironworks. "The community here is great. I feel lucky to be a part of this place." After a semester away at college in the Northwest, he returned to Berkeley to reassess his priorities and get back to climbing. His other interests include running and meditation.

Mike
Mike has recently earned his bachelors of Applied Science in sound arts from Ex'Pression College of Digital Arts in Emeryville. Other than climbing he enjoys music and art and something to file under random things to know, Mike once won a riding law mower at a contest at Lowe's!

Jeremy
Jeremy started climbing in 2006, after a year and a half hiatus got back into it in Oct. 2009 and hasn't been able to stop since. The most common place to find find him is on the bouldering walls tho you may see him occasionally doing a little lead climbing too. Jeremy tries to get over to the east side as frequent as possible and can totally see himself living there one day.

Lauryn
Lauryn, with a Y. Born in the Town but raised in the Pacific Northwest, Lauryn has recently returned to the Bay Area like a sea turtle; she’s not sure how she got here or why, but it just feels like home. She has rafted the Grand Canyon, taught English in Thailand, earned a B.A, interviewed Tony Hawk, battled dengue in Panama, lived on a sailboat and ridden an ostrich. But has not yet flashed an 11d or crushed a V4. So that’s what's next.
